Interview Medic UMS 2019

Assalamualaikum and a very good day to everyone, so today I would like to update the latest interview for (HM00:Medical Doctor Program) UMS. Hopefully, this post will help all of you, dear future juniors!

For your information, interview medic UMS consists of two assessments starting from this year, 2019: 

1) The computer test

2) Multiple mini interview

1) THE COMPUTER TEST

Computer test requires candidates to answer questions in computer lab that provided by the Faculty of Medicine and Science Health (FMSH) of UMS. The questions have many sections (A until section J if i'm not mistaken)  and all sections must be done within 1- 2 hours (if i'm not mistaken). Each section may ask you about your personal data, IQ test, Mathematical test, Perception Test, Medical term test, Vocabulary test and last and the most important thing is the Personality test (this test may reveal what type of person are you and are you suit with the doctor's personality?) Tips from me, answer by you heart okey! But then, do a little research on computer test okey?

2) MULTIPLE MINI INTERVIEW

Well yeah, this year 2019 was the first year where FMSH, UMS done this 'type' of interview for selecting the future medic students. Before this, we got through grouping interview (haha, me is not moving on yet)

Back to your business dear future juniors, so this MMI is done like this. Each candidate individually will enter 5 station. Each station will be conducted by a lecturer from our faculty, FMHS. Each station will give you a question maybe in a scenario/quiz/opinion/etc.

So, these are the questions asked for this year :

Station 1: Your friend copied your assignment. She just broke up with her boyfriend. She is walking out of the printing shop and you're walking in. What would you do?

Station 2: You have only RM 2. You meet 2 poor homeless children. One disable and another one 12 years old child in school uniform. To whom you'll give the money?

Station 3: Your personal experience that made you interested in medical degree program. Explain on activity that showed your leadership skills?

Station 4: You're the working doctor in the ward. Suddenly, your nurse comes and is panicking because a patient is having asthma. You have to prepare medicine since your nurse is still panic. So, the nurse is calling you, you have to tell her what to do.

Patient is 50 kg.

1 mg of drug per kg. (2 mg = 2mL)

How many mL will you give to the patient?

Station 5: ***OUR DEAN TOOK THIS STATION AND YES, YOU NEED TO IMPRESS HIM VERY WELL*** The question is... "Why you wanna join Medic Ums?"

So kids haha, make a short-fast-full-coverage research on UMS! Just to inform you, faculty is welcoming who  is really,really,really want to join UMS instead of other universities. Every year, almost 250 applicants are called for the interview and only 100 candidates will  be selected.
